Waste recycling terminal

The building is designed for the reception and treatment of household waste from a new housing development in Lillestrøm municipality. Its volumetric composition and interior layout are tailored to meet the specific design and space requirements of such a technical facility. The facades are clad with wooden slats of varying densities, giving a playful and modern appearance to this industrial building. Wooden slats create a rhythmic pattern that adds warmth and sophistication. This design choice also helps the building blend harmoniously with the adjacent residential neighborhood.

The green roof covered with local plants, not only enhances the building’s aesthetic appeal but also provides numerous environmental benefits. This living roof creates a habitat for birds, butterflies, and other pollinators, fostering biodiversity in the heart of the urban environment. The outdoor spaces around the building feature various species of local vegetation, creating an attractive area that is accessible to the public.

The original design of the building was done by Pushak AS, our role has been the detailing and execution of the project.
